So Portugal lost to France. That second half was painful to watch. I was hoping in vain! Figo's header was the biggest heartache. Ronaldo had taken that free kick so well and Barthez had screwed up and they still couldn't use it! =( But fair enough I guess, France played really well. They deserved their win. And I thought Zidane was freaking awesome.
Did anyone see the end of that match, how Zidane and Figo embraced and exchanged shirts? Ok so that's cool with the respect thing and all but really, that's kinda gross. Zidane put Luis Figo's sweat-soaked shirt on. Exchanging shirts is all good but exchanging sweat? Ew.
I hope Portugal beats Germany for 3rd place. And since they can't be 1st or 2nd now, I'm all for France! Go Les Bleus! Go Zinedine Zidane! Go get them sleazy-looking Italians!
