Wow...nearly half my holidays are over and I don't really feel like I'm on holiday yet. Strange, since I usually tend to take the holiday thing too far.
Spent today helping out at my church's christmas workshop for children. Had to get up early, which is so unlike me, but I think this time counts as worth it. The kids are so adorable! And they had a great time. My favourite part of the day was just chatting with the kids. I love how they interact, how they don't hide their emotions, how they just grin and laugh out loud when they're happy, how they tell you exactly what's wrong if they're upset, and how they believe you when you say it's okay.
Liam, who's half swedish, sang me happy birthday in swedish. He tried to teach me. I think it's yomo haliva, or something. And there were these two boys who didn't wanna play the games - they were so engrossed staring into the chapel. I was pretty amused when they told me they were watching a ghost movie (the stationary shadows cast by the chairs). There were so many funny moments today =)
I was so exhausted by the end though...haven't really been getting the sleep I need...what's new...I came home and slept for like 3 hours before dinner. Gonna spend all day with the kids again tomorrow - thank God it starts at 12!
You know what...I'm feeling like it's christmas =)
