Hello! How is everyone?? The hols have been great for me so far...unfortunately there is not much further to go.

To sum up what I've been doing:

1. Bummed around whole of first week and caught up on much needed sleep

2. Ivan and Amy arrived and we pulled off our surprise thing on Dennis so well that he screamed and couldn't talk for a long while! (High five, guys!) Was crazy seeing Ivan again after so long, and meeting Amy, who I reckon is the cheeriest person I've ever met. =)

3. We met up with Sarah Low and walked around the entire city. Quite exhausting. Quite fun.

4. Hillsong Conference!! (with Ivan and Amy) - which was awesome. Speakers and band were amazing. God was amazing-er! I learnt so much. Oh and Hillsong surprised us by bringing in Guy Sebastian! It was mad. The huge crowds were Not so fun, though - the queues to get into the night rallies were MASSIVE. We got pretty crappy seats some nights. Ooh one time the crowd was fun though: this dude sitting in our section stood up and started chanting, "We love Jesus yes we do, we love Jesus how bout you?", and then this whole other section stood up and started chanting it back at us. And there was this massive wave going through the crowd which even changed direction and speed. Very cool. The coolest thing though, was when we were on the train one night, on the way home from the conference: We were sitting with these two aboriginal girls and suddenly Ivan starts talking to them, and before I can believe what is happening, he is evangelising to them! I was pretty shocked. He didn't like, convert them immediately or anything, but definitely seeds were planted. That night spoke volumes to me.

4. Maya slept over two nights and Jian one night! Lots of catching up with Maya on the second night. (Your birthday is coming soon Maya! Get excited!) We had our Hillsong Conference "afterglow" on the first night. (Jian please don't give up on those pictures, pleease? I need to see them! Try imageshack, or something.)

5. I lost my voice and fell sick (have been for the past 4 days, but not so terribly ill now). I went through the first day croaking, the second day signing and whispering, and now I'm back to croaking. Ivan prescribed me sprite and salt foam which worked brilliantly for my throat. His other presciption didn't work half so well though. When I ran out of panadol and needed to get some more, he suggested trying advil instead, which is what they use in Canada. It worked well for the headache, alright, it just made my eye swell up too. Quite very funny.

6. Amy taught me to sing "head and shoulders knees and toes" in French! Now I can sing it in three languages! Ha!

(So much for trying to do this in chronological order. I don't know where I am anymore.)

7. Lots of prayer. And lots of corporate prayer. And lots of talking about stuff in general. Thank you koko Nisnis (Dennis) and koko Fenfen (Ivan). I wish those talks could be regular.

Ok I'm getting tired of point form. All in all, it was the best holiday I've had in a long time! Ivan and Amy just left this afternoon...the house feels kinda empty now. I guess it's time to get back to the big pile of neglected work. Bah.

But you know what? I go back with a very different outlook. =D

How great is Your love!
So much higher than the Heavens!
And faithfulness that reaches to the skies!
